We are a waffle loving family from Michigan that has been traveling this beautiful country of ours since September 2020.
We didn’t have waffles in the camper until I found a mini honeycomb waffle maker made by Dash at a Meijer store in Michigan in our first summer back in the state after traveling to California and back.
Why a New Blog?
I wanted to create a different blog. Over the years I have seen blog after blog pop up that I felt lacked in personality. Not the recipes and content were bad, but they were very cookie cutter. A lot of that was to try and to make Google happy, so gain more traffic, thus make more ad revenue.
People were going away from sharing their stories after hearing a vocal group of people say “just give me the recipe!”. I want to bring that back. I want a blog that people want to come back to not only for the fun recipes but that the blog itself is fun too. That’s why you are going to find cartoon characters, fun vidoes, and stories of our travels as a full time RV family (along with our plush rabbit named Chocolate!).
The other reason I wanted to start a new blog was to get my whole family involved in the process. As my kids have gotten older they have gain more skills and I wanted a way for them to showcase their talent.

Eric is the writer and website editor. He has been creating content since all the way back in 2009 in the early days of blogging. He loves to come up with new recipes that show the best ingredients he can find. You will find him at farmer’s markets and orchards whenever he can get to one.
Donna is the Editor in Chief for this blog, and our other blog and podcasts! She also happens to be wife to Eric and mother to the 4 kids. She loves to travel, paint, sew and she makes incredible sourdough bread.
Our graphic artist loves to create all types of art, from animal sketches to watercolor paintings, to character concepts, to fur suits. She is learning how to grow her digital skills doing animation and original characters using Procreate.
Our videographer loves all things crafty and cute. She has a successful Youtube channel that features slimes, art sketches, asmr and viral trends. She loves reading and spending time with her family.
Our recipe developer is foodie 2.0 after his dad. He enjoys dreaming up fun and tasty ideas and then testing them out himself. He is a big history buff and spends a lot of time developing card games and video games as well.
Our adorable recipe taster benefits from all of the tasty creations her family makes. She will usually try just about anything, some of her favorite foods are pickles, grits, berries and mac n cheese.
